Ivor Bostock Obituary, Death – Ivor Bostock was a life member of the club, and the membership expresses its deepest condolences on his demise. Over the years, Ivor has provided the club with a number of useful contributions, primarily through the bowls section, but he has also helmed the club’s bar at one point or another. He was truly one of the upstanding citizens of this world, and his presence will be dearly missed. On Tuesday, October 24th, at 10:40 am, the funeral service will be held at the Walton Crematorium for anyone who would like to pay their respects. After that, there will be some refreshments back at the club.
The family has specifically requested that no black or dark clothing be worn. Because of his commitment to the sport and his faith in our group, he was an invaluable member who will be dearly missed by all of us. When he was in charge of the bar for a spell, his dedication to the wellbeing and contentment of the club’s members went well beyond the confines of the golf field. It was beyond anyone’s reasonable doubt that Ivor was one of the honorable men. Everyone he came into contact with warmed up to him thanks to his warm demeanor, generous spirit, and genuine sense of camaraderie.
The contributions he made and the assistance he provided were highly treasured by the group, and simply having him there made everyone happier. Those who would like to pay their respects and say their last goodbyes to Ivor can do so at the Walton Crematorium on Tuesday, October 24 at 10:40 AM. The funeral service will be held in his honor. We will pay our respects to Ivor’s memory and the enduring impact he has left behind by getting together at the club for some refreshments after the funeral. Ivor’s family has requested that we not observe a moment of silence in his memory by donning black in recognition of his contributions to our organization and the lives he touched.
