So Hugh Jackman had an odd mark on his nose. He thought nothing of it, but his wife found it quite suspicious. She get asking to get it checked to see if it was potentially dangerous. Initially, he refused and thought nothing of it. Out of love, he eventually went in to get the strange mark checked out, and wouldn’t you know it, it was basil cell carcinoma. Proving my theory that the wife is always right, and in this case, it may have saved Hugh Jackman’s life.
The NY Daily News has more about it, but the long and the short right now is that Hugh Jackman is very happy he listened to his wife. Luckily, he had found it quick enough to get it removed, but it is the kind if thing that gets you thinking. When was the last time I got checked? The scariest thing with any kind of cancer is if you don’t get it soon enough, it can only be that much tougher to fight.
So big props go out to Hugh Jackman’s wife for being smart and brave enough to know something was wrong, and to have her husband act accordingly. I swear, if a mole turned out to be cancerous and killed Wolverine, it would have messed us all up. That would have been the most anti-climatic superhero death of all time.
